Gear Nut

Basically a question for anyone who is a DJ.
I just got a new windows machine (7 not 8). it only has USB 3.0 ports.
All along my plan has been to get an NI Traktor S4 as my core dj'ing setup.
Now I read on somewhat old posts on other forums that it gives the BSOD. It is USB 2.0 on the NI site specs, but I can't decipher if I bought this thing today, in 2014, that new drivers would allow it to work with my machine.
Does anyone know if you can use the NI Traktor S4 with USB 3.0 in Windows 7?
This is such a letdown. I've been DJ'ing for 15 years, and was all set to switch to Traktor with my new system. Obviously I didn't do the due diligence.
Are USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 converters a worthwhile consideration? I know nothing about this. Just assumed NI would be operating in 2014 not 2009.
